MHS to host Al Smith Invitational despite ongoing sexual assault scandal

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- In the midst of an investigation surrounding Mishawaka High School's wrestling team, a big tournament is scheduled for the next two days.

The athletic director says the Al Smith Invitational, which brings 30 teams from across the area, will go on as usual, and be one of the best matches yet.

Earlier this month a 15-year-boy on the Cavemen wrestling team said he was forcibly sodomized by five of his teammates nearly two years ago.

The head coach Darrick Snyder, is currently on a paid suspension during this investigation.

The case in being handled by the St. Joseph County Special Victims Unit.
