Micah Shrewsberry to throw first pitch at South Bend Cubs Opening Night

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Newly minted Notre Dame men's basketball coach Micah Shrewsberry will throw the ceremonial first pitch during the South Bend Cubs home opener on Tuesday.

First pitch takes place at 6:45 p.m.

Before joining the Notre Dame ranks, Shrewsberry was head coach at Penn State.

An Indianapolis native, Shrewsberry has spent a number of years coaching across the Hoosier state, claiming Indiana University South Bend as his first head coaching position from 2005 to 2007.

Gates open at 5 p.m. for the game.
