Michiana Alliance to host “Justice for Breonna” event

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Michiana Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression (MAARPR) will be hosting an event honoring Women’s History Month and the one-year anniversary of the death of Breonna Taylor this week.

“Justice for Breonna Taylor: Solidarity Across State Lines” is an online event that will discuss the Justice for Breonna Taylor Movement and honor the work of Black women in the Kentucky AARPR, based in Louisville.

Those attending will also hear from Frank Chapman, Executive Director of the National Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression and former political prisoner, about the national perspective on the movement against racism. Chapman will also discuss community control of the police and outline the Alliance’s pathway towards the Freedom Movement in 2021.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31.
