Michiana cleans up from storms, prepares for more

Crews continue to clean up after Monday’s storms in Michiana.

Meanwhile, residents are preparing for possible storms Wednesday.

Indiana Michigan Power spent the day fixing power lines for the thousands without electricity due to the storms.

The South Bend Parks Department is also working nonstop to pick up debris from the storm, starting with the hardest hit areas of Rum Village and the southern section of the city.

“They can call 311, but there’s so many calls coming in right now if it’s after Thursday and they haven’t gotten it yet, they can call 311,” Brent Thompson, city forester advised residents.
