Taras Petro, an international translator from Knox, Indiana, is currently back home in Michiana and joined ABC57 live for an interview to talk about the ongoing needs in Ukraine as the country marks one year since Russia first invaded on February 24, 2022.
Petro highlighted the grassroots efforts that many are behind to ensure families and soldiers enlisting in Ukraine's army have the supplies needed to continue seeing this fight through to the end, which Ukraine hopes will be this year.
Supplies are shipped to Ukraine on a regular basis, said Petro.
