Michiana students put on walking shoes

Wednesday, students across Michiana put on their walking shoes.
It was International Walk to School Day.
“Safe Kids” of St. Joseph and Elkhart counties volunteered to walk with kids and help point out dangerous intersections, and streets that need sidewalks.
For some, the walk to school was an adventure.
But, for students in Mishawaka it was just another day.
Many kids in Mishawaka already walk to school because the district doesn’t have buses.
