Michiana winter road conditions

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The snow Sunday night and Monday morning caused several slideoffs on local roads.


ABC 57 called several sheriff's departments across Michiana and discovered a number of different weather-related accidents.


Kosciusko County Sheriff's Deparment responded to a 2-car crash along U.S. 30 and 200-North around 6:30 Monday morning. It involved a car colliding with a plow truck.


The driver of the car suffered a minor rib injury and was taken to  Kosciusko Community Hospital.


Authorities in Elkhart County dealt with several slide-offs due to the snowfall on County Road 6 Sunday night and into Monday morning.


INDOT had road crews working overnight to clear off streets for morning commuters, with main roads like State Road 23 receiving extra attention.
