KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. – Madelyn Klenk returned to her alma mater of Comstock High School in Michigan before the game on February 28.
90 years ago Klenk was a starter on her high school’s team, although back then she says they had six starters instead of five.
She talked to current players, swapped stories about the game and even snapped some photos to commemorate the occasion.
"Everybody had to take gym and we were playing basketball. We got through and then the teacher asked me to be on the team. I was on the team until I graduated," Klenk reminisced.
The current girls team helped her relive the golden days by naming Klenk their sixth starter for the game.
In April, she will be celebrating her 105th birthday.
