Michigan City announces dates for Washington Park parking sticker distribution

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- The Michigan City Parks and Recreation Department will be issuing Washington Park 2019 parking stickers at the North Pointe Pavilion beginning Monday, April 1.

The stickers will be distributed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon beginning May 4.

On Saturday, March 30, you can purchase stickers at the Michigan City Senior Center. Stickers will be available from 8 a.m. to noon at the Trash & Treasure Sale.

You will need to bring your current vehicle registration.

If you own property in the civil city but reside outside of the civil city limits, bring a utility bill or tax bill (the name on the bill must match the name on your vehicle registration) for the city property along with your current vehicle registration and the fee will be waived.

Current fees are:

  • Free for Civil City residents
  • $25 for La Porte County residents
  • $40 for Indiana residents
  • $23 for senior membership with a current membership card
  • $100 for Out of state visitors
