Michigan City Council withdraws Flock funding ordinance

ABC 57

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- A proposed ordinance that would fund additional Flock cameras in Michigan City is no more.

The Michigan City Council struck down a previous proposal that would have allocated $300,000 from the city’s rainy-day fund to the police department for additional Flock technology.

This happened after all of the council members who sponsored the measure withdrew the ordinance. The councilmembers say it was because of feedback they received from the public. The council members included Bryan Dabney, Don Przybylinski, Vidya Kora, and Greg Coulter.

The move will not impact the city's current Flock cameras.
