Michigan City man dies after Valparaiso mud race

VALPARAISO, Ind. — A Michigan City man died after completing a three mile mud race in Valparaiso.
Michiana's News Channel reports that 59-year-old Rick Richards finished the race, then went to a medical tent on site because he didn't feel well.
He was taken to the hospital where he got worse and later died.
The Porter County coroner says there won't be an autopsy because the victim had a history of heart trouble.
