Michigan has 1,090,021 COVID-19 cases, 21,609 deaths

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 8,496 new cases* of COVID-19, and 46 new deaths**.

*Today's daily case count represents confirmed cases over three days (Saturday, Sunday, & Monday). The average number of new cases is 2,832 per day.

**Deaths announced today includes 15deaths identified during a Vital Records review. 

The state has a total of 1,090,021 COVID-19 cases, 21,609 deaths, 962,955 recovered, and 10,120,248 vaccine doses administered***. 

  • Berrien Co.: 16,815 confirmed cases, 308 deaths, 144,320 vaccine doses administered
  • Cass Co.: 6,048 cases, 82 deaths, 34,403 vaccine doses administered
  • St. Joseph Co.:  7,208 cases, 110 deaths, 45,989 vaccine doses administered
  • Van Buren Co.: 8,390 cases, 142deaths, 73,933 vaccine doses administered
