Michigan reports 2,056,751 total cases of COVID-19, 31,817 deaths

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 1,860 new cases* of COVID-19, and 26 new deaths**.

*Today's daily case count represents confirmed cases over three days (Saturday, Sunday, & Monday). The average number of new cases is 620 per day.

**Deaths announced today includes 0 deaths identified during a Vital Records review. 

The state has had a total of 2,056,751 COVID-19 cases, 31,817 deaths, and 11,361,528 vaccine doses administered***. 

  • Berrien Co.: 30,354 confirmed cases, 487 deaths, 160,642 vaccine doses administered
  • Cass Co.: 9,188 cases, 124 deaths, 38,578 vaccine doses administered
  • St. Joseph Co.:  11,941 cases, 165 deaths, 51,657 vaccine doses administered
  • Van Buren Co.: 15,517 cases, 236 deaths, 84,290 vaccine doses administered

Note: The state of Michigan's website will no longer be updating the cumulative total of recovered COVID-19 cases. As of January 20, 2022, 1,421,905 people have recovered in the state.
