Michigan reports 2,058,856 total cases of COVID-19, 32,050 deaths

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 2,105 new cases* of COVID-19, and 233 new deaths**.

*Today's daily case count represents confirmed cases over two days (Tuesday & Wednesday). The average number of new cases is 1,054 per day.

**Deaths announced today includes 207 deaths identified during a Vital Records review. 

The state has had a total of 2,058,856 COVID-19 cases, 32,050 deaths, and 11,380,346 vaccine doses administered***. 

  • Berrien Co.: 30,376 confirmed cases, 492 deaths, 160,829 vaccine doses administered
  • Cass Co.: 9,196 cases, 126 deaths, 38,609 vaccine doses administered
  • St. Joseph Co.:  11,947 cases, 167 deaths, 51,687 vaccine doses administered
  • Van Buren Co.: 15,538 cases, 238 deaths, 84,375 vaccine doses administered

***Vaccines updated as of February 28, 2021

Note: The state of Michigan's website will no longer be updating the cumulative total of recovered COVID-19 cases. As of January 20, 2022, 1,421,905 people have recovered in the state.
