Michigan health department offering virtual baby fairs in December

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is hosting three free virtual baby fairs in December for new and expecting parents.

Families will have the chance to learn about available resources health and safety information and speak directly with experts during the sessions.

The baby showers will be held on the following days:

  • December 6 from 9 to 11 a.m.
  • December 12 from 9 to 11 a.m.
  • December 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

A number of health department programs are participating in the sessions:

  • Birth Defects Education and Outreach
  • Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program
  • Children’s Special Health Care Services
  • Early Hearing Detection and Intervention
  • Eat Safe Fish
  • Immunizations
  • Infant Safe Sleep
  • Maternal Infant Health Program
  • Michigan BioTrust for Health
  • Michigan Home Visiting Initiative
  • Newborn Screening
  • Oral Health Program
  • State Breastfeeding Initiative
  • Unintentional Injury Prevention
  • Vital Records
  • Women, Infants & Children
