Michigan introduces new food stamp restrictions on vehicles

LANSING, Mich -- We're continuing to follow the food stamp changes hitting the state of Michigan.

Recently new rules went into play that limit how much people on aid can own. Just last month, the state said those who owned vehicles with market values of more than $15,000 were no longer eligible for assistance.

Today, Lansing says new applicants can exempt one car under the new requirements, but a second car would fall under the new rules.
