Michigan makes the grade in keeping cigarettes out of minors' hands

MICHIGAN -- It appears Michigan is living up to its requirements when it comes to keeping cigarettes out of the hands of minors.

New numbers released by the Michigan Bureau of Substance Abuse and Addiction Services found 85 percent of retailers did not sell tobacco to anyone under the age of 18.

The national minimum required is 80 percent. States that don't meet the minimum will likely get funding cuts.
