Michigan man stops armed robbers with hot cup of coffee

EASTPOINTE, Mich. -- A Michigan man stopped some robbers with a cup of coffee.

Tim Blair stopped by an Eastpointe 7-Eleven on Tuesday to grab his morning cup of joe.

But as he walked to work, two gunmen rode up on bikes and demanded cash.

Blair had other ideas.

"I threw it at him, like in his face around his upper part of his body to kind of blind him. When I saw the gun, I just reacted fast on instinct. If I didn't have that coffee, things probably would have went differently," said Blair.

The gunmen did get away, but not with any cash.

Blair wasn't hurt.

As for his coffee? 7-Eleven gave him a new one -- free of charge.
