Michigan sees disastrous flood damage

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The water is finally receding, but the flood damage has been done in Michigan.

On Tuesday, Governor Rick Snyder declared a state of disaster for 19 counties and the cities of Grand Rapids and Ionia.

The declaration will provide state funding and resources for those affected by last month's devastating floods.

At one point, the Grand River peaked above flood stage at nearly 22 feet.
