Michigan State Police investigating crash that killed motorcyclist
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich.—A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving multiple vehicles on July 28 in Constantine Township, according to Michigan State Police.
Police say that a 28-year-old male was driving motorcycle southbound on U.S. 131 around 10:25 p.m. when a 29-year-old male driver turned into the path of the motorcycle from North River Road.
The motorcycle driver collided with the vehicle and was thrown into oncoming traffic at which point a second vehicle, driven by a 36-year-old woman, was traveling northbound on U.S. 131 and struck the motorcyclist while he was laying in the road, according to police.
Life-saving measures performed on the motorcyclist were unsuccessful.
The motorcyclist was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash, police said.
