ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.—Michigan State Police is investigating a theft of firewood from a home in Fawn River Township.
On October 27, at a home in the 71000 block of Bauman Road, suspects driving a newer model black Jeep Cherokee with an Indiana registration beginning with “TK” backed into the homeowner’s driveway.
A white male driver and a white female passenger began loading the firewood into the vehicle.
The homeowner tried to confront the suspects but the suspect vehicle then “nearly struck” the homeowner, according to Michigan State Police.
The suspect vehicle then drove south into Indiana.
Surveillance video was released by police showing the incident.
