Michigan teen killed by train

CHARLOTTE, Mich. — A Michigan teen was killed on his way home from school when he was hit by a train.

It happened Friday in Charlotte. 

Police have blocked off the railroad crossing while they investigate.

The 16-year-old's family, friends and classmates are trying to understand how this could have happened.

The school was open for students to talk to grief counselors. They will also be back when the students return to school on Monday.
