Michigan teen lifts car to save grandpa's life

IDA TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Fueled by pure adrenaline, a Michigan teen saves his grandpa's life!

Get this -- he lifted up a 2,000-pound car!

Austin Smith and "Papa Ernie" were at their Ida Township home on Saturday, trying to fix the brakes on this Buick.

It suddenly collapsed, and pinned the 74-year-old underneath!

Austin acted fast and lifted up the front-end so his grandpa could escape! But even he doesn't know how he did it!

"I have no clue. Probably all the adrenaline. I mean I couldn't do it right now. All I could think of is getting the car off him, and that's what I did,” said Austin Smith, the grandson.

"Thank God he was here, because if it was just me and his grandmother, it would have been over,” said Ernest Monhollen, the grandpa.

Ernie broke his ribs, eye socket, and has some bad cuts on his face. But he is expected to be okay.
