NILES, Mich. -- Tuesday night we heard from candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in the first debate between the two, and Wednesday afternoon ABC57 took to the streets to hear from the voters.
Opinions across River Front Square went beyond politics.
The cost of living was the biggest concern of those we spoke to, but beyond the candidate’s plans for the economy, one expert said the winner of the debate will come down to their preferred candidate, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Questioning how much of an impact yesterday’s debate will really have on the final outcome of the election.
"I think coming in more so than ever before people had who they thought were going to win, and really it didn't even matter who won, because they've already made up their mind,” said Chad Kinsella a Political Science Professor at Ball State University.
