Michigan Works! Career & Community Expo coming to Benton Harbor in June

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. – Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren is hosting the first annual Career and Community Expo on June 30.

The Expo event is for southwest Michigan residents looking for career, education, and training opportunities. The event will introduce individuals to employers, educators, and social service organizations to help them learn more about prospects in their area.

“We are excited to bring the first ever Career and Community Expo to southwest Michigan and couldn’t have picked a more important time for an event like this,” said Lily Brewer, Executive Director of Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren. “We’re here to help individuals in southwest Michigan get back to work, get individuals enrolled in training, connect them to education, and knock down any barriers that stand in their way and this expo will do all of that at one time.”

The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Michigan Works! in Benton Harbor, 499 West Main St.

This event is kid and family friendly, complete with food, music, prize giveaways, and a bounce house.

Those participating should arrive at the Expo ready to interview and with a resume. You do not need to register for the event but optional pre-registration can be found here.

Parking will be available in the Michigan Works! parking lot, the parking lot across from Michigan Works! on Main Street, and the empty parking lot across the street from the Whirlpool Corporation Tech Center.

Masks will be required at the event.
