Middle school coach suspended for alleged comment

A middle school girls basketball coach was suspended for an alleged comment she made to her team members on January 19, according to information obtained by our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

North Side Middle School Coach Vikki Rogers allegedly told members of the team to not "act black."

Rogers is not only the 8th grade girls basketball coach but also teaches 7th grade math. She has been with the school for 30 years, according to the North Side Middle School webpage.

Rogers has been suspended since January 22nd, according to The Elkhart Truth.
