INDIANAPOLIS. -- Today, the Hoosier state is under new leadership.
The 52nd Governor of Indiana, Republican Mike Braun, took his oath of office this morning in Indianapolis.
Braun replaces fellow Republican Eric Holcomb, who was term limited out of office.
In his remarks, Governor Braun stated that today Hoosiers face a new crossroads, the start of a trailblazing four years in Indiana.
"I am committed to be a governor of not just words, but action as we create a prosperous future for all Hoosiers," stated Braun.
Braun vows to address campaign issues, like what he says is a complacent education system, high Heathcare costs, and high property tax. He states, "We cannot accept rising property taxes as an unfortunate fact of life."
Governor Braun has already announced his appointments for dozens of key leadership roles and cabinet members in his administration, and they effectively begin their roles as well.
