NOW: Milkweed Gardens will soon bring an abandoned space in South Bend back to life
NEXT:

SOUTH BEND, Ind-- Local non-profit "Milkweed Gardens Inc." is working to raise funding to bring a new park "The Milkweed Garden" to South Bend, specifically on Michigan Street over by the South Street Transpo Station. This pocket park will sit between two buildings, creating a community space in the Monroe Park area.

The non-profit anticipates the official opening day will be next spring but, in the meantime, they are working to raise money to help open this space. Currently they are at the halfway point for fundraising efforts and on Thursday, Sept. 10 there will be a Garden Party in this area to help show people all the work that's been happening here at 520 S. Michigan Street!
