Mishawaka businesses in the red due to construction

MISHAWAKA, Ind -- Some business owners are certainly seeing red this season as their business has nearly come to a stop thanks to extended construction work.

Past their anticipated completion date, crews got to work in August trying to make things easier for drivers to get in and out of the Main Street corridor and help attract business. Instead, the construction has been devastating for the entire block.

Weather and a water piping issue has been a few causes for the delay in construction.

A construction worker estimates the work will be complete sometime this month.
