Mishawaka car crash downs telephone and cable pole

A car hit a telephone and cable pole on the 12000 block of Day Road in Mishawaka on Wednesday.

Jane Andresen lives across the street from where the crash happened, and witnessed the events.

She said she heard the driver coming.  "She hydroplaned on the rain, did a complete 360, and the front end of her car sheared off the telephone pole across the street.  Ran through, and that's a big rock she knocked over." 

Andresen said she saw the driver was able to exit the vehicle herself, however was transported to the hospital. 

St. Joseph County Police have not yet responded to ABC57's request for more information.
