Mishawaka Cavemen to introduce new boys’ basketball head coach Wednesday

MISHAWKA, Ind. -- The Mishawaka Cavemen will announce the new head coach of high school varsity boys’ basketball during a press conference on Wednesday at 2:45 p.m.
The press conference will be held inside The Cave gymnasium, and accessible by the doors at the East Gym.
Classes get out at 2:35, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early to avoid traffic issues.
The Cavemen finished 13-10 overall in the 2021-2022 season, with a final record of 4-3 in the Northern Lakes Conference. Mishawaka’s season ended in the first round of the sectionals in a 58-55 loss to Michigan City.
Previous coach, Ron Hecklinski, piloted the team for five years and never had a losing season, but never made it past the second round of the sectionals.
