Mishawaka college has new cafe and campus store

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- There's a new place Bethel students can go for a hot cup of joe.

The Mishawaka college dedicated the Sufficient Grounds Cafe and Campus Store.

The new  building is on LaSalle Avenue across from the fine arts center.

The $1.1 million project includes the new coffee shop, a conference and meeting space, and a newly renovated bookstore.

"The nice thing with this facility is that its a place where they can eat, they can fellowship, grab some coffee.  But its also got the campus store that has our textbooks and merchandise.  So its a great place for one stop shop on campus for students to come hang out," said Shawn Holtgren, Vice President for Student Development.

There will also be open mic nights and special concerts.

Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood was on hand for Monday's dedication.
