After a very sweet Halloween, a Mishawaka dentist is trying to do something good and buy back your kids’ candy.
North Point Pediatric Dentistry is buying back Halloween candy Monday through Thursday.
This is the 11th year for this program.
The office will pay $2 per pound and match that with a $2 donation for every pound collected to the food bank.
“I think that's something the kids can really be proud of, they're able to enjoy the candy but then also feel good about giving back to the community for people who couldn't go trick or treating or maybe don't have enough to eat,” said Dr. Cara Kilgore.
After all of the candy is bought back, the sweet treats will be donated to Operation Gratitude which will give the candy to U.S. troops.
