Mishawaka fall leaf pickup program begins October 30

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The City of Mishawaka Street Department’s annual fall leaf pickup program begins on October 30 this year.

Leaves will be picked up the day before residents’ designated trash pickup day each week. For the first week, residents can begin raking leaves to the curb starting October 28 and 29.

Residents can expect their leaves to be picked up around six times throughout the season. Leaves should be raked to the edge of the curb and be free of stones, branches or anything that could damage equipment.

Leaves can also be bagged and set out with trash. Through December 15, the city has requested the bag limit with Republic Services be waived.

City residents can take brush to the Mishawaka Recycling Center Tuesday through Saturday until its last operating day on December 2.
