Mishawaka Fire responds to report of structure fire on Birchwood Drive

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The Mishawaka Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 2900 block of Birchwood Drive Tuesday afternoon.
A call came in at 12:57 p.m. reporting the incident at a single residence, two-story apartment.
No injuries were reported but two cats died in the fire.
It took crews about 15 minutes to diminish the flames, according to Mishawaka Battalion Chief Josh Kourtney.
