Mishawaka hosts second annual Heritage Festival
A lot of Mishawaka’s history and people will be shared at the second annual Mishawaka Heritage Festival today and it's an event the whole family can enjoy.
The event is being held at the newly renovated Central Park in town. The event honors the city’s ethnic, religious and industrial roots.
Several residents in town are immigrants from various countries like Belgium, Italy and Germany. There will be different cultural foods, talks given by people and professionals in the area on Mishawaka’s history and live music.
Fighting Irish fans will also be able to catch the Notre Dame vs. Texas game. There will be a large television set up for attendees to watch the game, which starts at 7:30 pm.
The festivities begin at 4 p.m. and will be a celebration lasting all day until 10 p.m.
