Mishawaka infant dead after found unresponsive

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – An infant was found unresponsive in a Mishawaka apartment early Saturday morning. The infant has died, according to Commander Corbett.
The child was found unresponsive at Hickory Village Apartments at 1:20 a.m.
According to officials, the infant was taken to St. Joseph medical center and transferred to Memorial hospital. The death was confirmed at Memorial.
One person was arrested. But officials said they were arrested on an unrelated warrant.
St. Joseph County Metro Homicide unit is investigating this incident.
