Mishawaka man sentenced to 7 years in prison for possessing firearm

A Mishawaka man has been sentenced to 7 years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to the US Attorney’s Office.

Antonio Wells, 32, was sentenced to 7 years in prison followed by 2 years supervised release after pleading guilty.

In April 2021, Wells was at a hospital when he tried to hide a loaded firearm in the parking garage, according to the US Attorney’s Office.

He had previously been convicted of firearms-related offenses, reports said.
