Mishawaka police bust vandals busting car windows and mirrors

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Mishawaka Police Department just contacted ABC57 News about two arrests in connection with a vandalism spree on the city's south side.

Police arrested two young men on Wednesday around 4 a.m.  Police says they damaged around 10 vehicles.

Police received several calls about vandals breaking mirrors and windows on their cars.  A witness saw a small red car in the area and called police.

Cpl. Stefaniak saw a suspicious vehicle matching that description, driving without headlights and pulled it over.

The two men inside were identified as the vandals.  18-year-old Justin Christman and 19-year-old Devin Nerthercutt both live in Mishawaka.  Both men are facing charges of Criminal Mishchief (Vandalism) and underaged drinking.

The total cost of loss is not known at this time.
