17-year-old shot in the neck on Battell Street in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - A 17-year-old male was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound to the neck following a shooting on West Battell Street Thursday night, according to the Mishawaka Police Department.  

Dispatch had originally reported the shooting was in the 600 block of Broadway Street, but police have since confirmed it was in the 600 block of West Battell. 

The 17-year-old was taken to the hospital for a non-life-threatening injury. 

No arrests have been made. The Mishawaka Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.
