Mishawaka YMCA celebrates grand opening

The YMCA opened its latest Michiana building Thursday in Mishawaka.

The grand opening happened from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the new location, 205 W. Edison Road.

The new facility has a gym, 3 multi-purpose rooms, and cycling rooms as well as classes that will be offered throughout the year to bring healthy living options to hundreds of families in Mishawaka.

“The YMCA's mission is we are for all so anyone that wants to come down here and try take measure to improve their lives, we are more than happy to help them,” said Amy Pales, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at the YMCA.

If you join before June 26th, the 50 dollar joining fee will be waived. As another membership promotion, the facility is offering the first month of membership for $6.25.

The YMCA also says that no one will be turned away from the inability to pay because they have scholarships available.
