Mishawaka's Church Street under construction

Mishawaka, Indiana - Crews will be pouring concrete all day Wednesday on Church Street. To get around this area with the least amount of problems, here is a list of some detailed detours provided by the city of Mishawaka:

Northbound Church Street traffic will be detoured east on Lincolnway (SR933) to Cedar Street, north on Cedar to Mishawaka Avenue, and west on Mishawaka Avenue back to Main Street.

Access to all businesses on the east side of Church Street including the Mishawaka Police Station, Mishawaka Utilities Offices, and PNC Bank should be via Race Street.  Pedestrians will not be allowed to cross Church to access these businesses due to equipment and materials currently using the area to prepare for the concrete paving operations. 

Residents are encouraged to use Race St. to access these locations as much as possible after Wednesday as well until concrete pavement has had a chance to cure.
