Elkhart, Ind- An autopsy confirmed a man found dead in Elkhart on Wednesday is the same man that was reported missing.
Elder Castillo Sr. was reported missing on May 28. On June 6, he was found dead inside his home on Hiawatha Drive.
The Elkhart County Prosecutors office says an autopsy confirms his identity and that he died from a gunshot wound.
They are not ruling his death a homicide at this time, but the investigation is being handled by the Elkhart County Homicide Unit.
It asks that anyone with possible information on Castillo’s death contact the Homicide Unit at 574-295-2821
