Mobile food pantry travels to South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Food Bank of Northern Indiana takes the food pantry on the road every couple of weeks.

Friday, ABC57 caught up with them at the community food pantry on Chapin Street in South Bend.

Dozens of people stopped by to pick up fresh foods and dry goods. Both of which are important for those in need.

The food bank operates by way of donations which have been in short supply this holiday season.

"If you've used your credit card to spend during the holidays, you have bills to pay off. For a lot of people, they've had to cut back on their giving as well," said Associate Director of Food Bank Marijo Martinec.

If you can help, the food bank takes food and cash donations.
