A mother is honoring her daughter's memory by trying to help children fight cancer.
Eight-year-old Kendrick Wright died on Mother's Day weekend two years ago.
This year, her mother teamed up with Great Clips and the Wigs for Kids organization to help a child who lives near her.
Organizers hoped to have enough people donating their hair to make an entire wig.
Tiffany Wright says if her daughter were alive, she would have donated her hair too.
"She was very caring, very giving, always cared about somebody else before herself," said Wright.
The event was held at seven locations in Reno.
