Monday marks biggest online retail day of the year

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - If you missed the door-busting Black Friday deals, it is not too late save big bucks while you finish checking-off your holiday shopping list items.

Monday marks the busiest online retail day of the year; over 75 million people are expected to spend $1.2 billion on Cyber Monday.

Websites are plastered with Cyber Monday ads, offering deals with the click of the mouse.

Macy’s is offering buy one get one free items, like boots and sweaters, and 25 to 50-percent off merchandise already marked on clearance.

Amazon is slashing prices on Kindles, Xbox’s and DVDs.

Shopping experts said to keep an eye out for promotion codes, which are basically online-coupons, for a double-dip into savings.

Free shipping is also an incentive offered by many websites, so experts say to be sure to shop around before clicking the final checkout button.

If you’re looking for a specific item, experts advised consumers to type the name of the item into a search engine like Google to find which online retailer is selling it for the cheapest.

Experts also advised shoppers to follow their favorite retailers on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, in order to monitor updates and catch flash sales.
