More counterfeit currency, police looking for suspect

ELKHART, Ind. – Elkhart Police are looking for a suspect who used counterfeit money at the Bristol Street Dollar General in June.

According to EPD, the suspect attempted to make a purchase with the fake money on June 9 when an employee noticed the money was counterfeit.

The suspect then left the store.

Employees described the suspect as a white male who is 5’7” at 150 pounds wearing a blue shirt and black backpack.

As reported Monday, counterfeit money has been circulating around Michiana.
