More than 16,000 customers in Michiana remain without power

Indiana Michigan Power is working to restore power to more than 16,000 customers throughout Michiana following Monday's storms.

They have found at least 50 broken or damaged poles so far. Most of the damage was caused by strong winds blowing trees and branches into equipment.

For South Bend, Elkhart, Buchanan and Three Rivers customers, power should be restored by 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Benton Harbor customers should have power by 11 p.m. Friday.
