ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast
Friday, August 16, 2024
Thunderstorms over Illinois will head toward Michiana this morning. Thunderstorms look likely across the region between 5 and 9 AM, but severe weather is unlikely to occur as these storms are weakening. Once these storms clear the area, skies will turn partly cloudy this afternoon which will allow temperatures to soar into the mid 80s with high humidity. A weak boundary presses in later today which could spark more scattered storms this evening, but severe weather risk is low. Scattered showers persist on Saturday and Sunday as an upper-level low holds over the area. Cooler weather settles in as well back into the 70s. Next week looks mild, dry, and comfortable.
Friday: Morning storms with afternoon sun. High 86.
Tonight: Scattered storms. Low 66.
Saturday: Scattered showers. High 78.
Sunday: Scattered showers. High 76.
