A quick punch of snow and cold
We have another beautiful day ahead of us to wrap up the weekend. Temperatures are not quite as warm as yesterday, with highs in the mid 80s today.
If you are planning a beach visit today, don't plan on a swim. Waves and rips are dangerous on Lake Michigan, so there is a red flag. Instead, you can enjoy the beach from the sand or go for a swim in the pool to stay safe.
We’ll stay mostly dry again, with just a few isolated showers or thunderstorms possible by afternoon along the edge of a weak cold front. Clouds and showers move out with the front by this evening, giving a brief reprieve from humidity too.
Tonight’s mostly clear skies will mean slightly cooler temperatures by Monday morning in the low 60s. Monday stays dry with lower humidity, but it will be hot and humid starting Tuesday. Heat indices Tuesday and Wednesday could be in the mid to upper 90s.
There are better chances for storms this week Tuesday through Friday.
Today: Partly cloudy. Chance afternoon storm. High 84.
Tonight: Mostly clear skies. Low 61.
Monday: Mostly sunny. High 88.
Tuesday: Hot. Mostly sunny. PM storms. High 90.
